2-3-5-8, Who do we appreciate? Fibonacci!
From Monday July 8 through Friday, July 12, HMC will be hosting the 21st International Conference on Fibonacci Numbers and their Applications. On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, more than 50 talks will be given on various aspects of the Fibonacci Numbers and related sequences. More than 70 mathematicians from around the world will attend this conference.  But on Wednesday, July 10, we will have fun, free Fibonacci talks aimed at the general public.
9 to 9:40 AM    Fibonacci Music (from a Grammy-nominated musician and a Pomona piano prodigy!)
9:45 to 10:30   Fibonacci Game Show  (Compete to complete sneaky sequences!)
10:30 to 11      Fibonacci Magic Show  (Count on being amazed!)
11 to 11:50      Keynote Speaker Jennifer Quinn (Lessons That Really Count: The Fibonacci Edition)
All presentations will be in the Drinkward Recital Hall, but we have also reserved Shanahan B460 for overflow and livestream. If you have any questions (or would like to attend the conference on other days), send me an email or visit the conference webpage.
